Dimming curve generation
Dimming curve generation
Log In to your trade account.
Dimming curve generation is a service that Artistic Licence provides for customers with sunDial quad or candlePower octo dimmers. Each of these products offers the ability to upload custom dimming curves per channel. We offer a free library of dimming curves for popular LED bulbs (see the individual product pages for these resources), and a set of generic curves that should produce good results with nearly all fixtures.
However, for premium installations demanding the highest levels of optimisation, customers may wish to have a bespoke curve mapped if their desired bulb is not already listed in the database. This is the scenario for which dimming curve generation is intended.
The customer is responsible for the cost of sending us the bulb(s) to be mapped. Please note that the indicated price is for one bulb. If you have more, please add the required quantity to the basket.
Please note that the bulb(s) will not be returned, and that the dimming curve(s) will be added to our free libraries.
Precommissioning service
Dimming curve generation includes the full precommissioning service for sunDial quad or candlePower octo (this is only relevant if you are buying one of these products at the same time as the dimming curve generation service). You will need to specify how you would like the product to be configured by filling in the relevant form:
• sunDial quad precommissioning form
• candlePower octo precommissioning form
lightSense
More technically minded customers may wish to carry out the bulb mapping themselves, rather than purchase the dimming curve generation service. To do this, you will need a lightSense digital illuminance meter.
